Located in Edinburg Virginia, this estate and winery is in a prime location. Not only is it a great weekend getaway for the residents of Northern Virginia, but it is less than 100 miles to Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Maryland. The small town of Edinburg is the epitome of quaint, with a population just over 1,000.
Wolf Gap Vineyards is a lovingly tended artisanal winery with unbelievable mountain views. Surrounding the winery is the Shenandoah Valley, the Great North Mountains, and Massanutton Mountain. This 48+ acre estate is home to small batch winemaking with priority in creating superior wines. The vineyard is composed of 5 acres, one acre to each varietal: cabernet sauvignon, cabernet franc, chardonnay, chambourcin and traminette. The residence makes up a total of 3 acres, and the winery environs another 3 acres. The remaining 24 acres are available for expanding the vineyard and/or the establishment of an equine pasture and riding trails.
The magnificent 4,300 square foot home was built for relaxation. In 2007 the owners had the brick residence built for their family and did not spare any amenities. The 3 bedrooms and 3.5 baths are just the start of what this fabulous home has to offer. From the workout room to the “party” room that is complete with a wine bar and fireplace, this house has it all. From any place in the home you will have magnificent views of the Great North Mountains. The 500 square foot patio is adorned with a fire pit and fountain. The gourmet kitchen opens to a dining room and family room. Weddings and events? Totally covered. Don’t miss the 750 bottle wine cellar and wet bar for all your favorite vintages! The Winery and Tasting Room
The winery produces between 600-1200 cases of wine per year. They have a steady and loyal clientele. The most popular wine varietals are chardonnay, viognier, traminette, chambourcin, cabernet franc, and cabernet sauvignon. In addition to these, the winery produces a few semi-sweet wines: chambourcin bleu, a summer red wine, a light fruity rosé, a delightful aperitif wine, as well as a quite popular blueberry wine. You will find wine making and storage equipment on the wine processing floor; this includes bottling and labeling equipment. The Wine Cellar can store up to 2500 cases. The wine inventory will be sold separately, but the buyer will be given the option to purchase first.
